Davao Deca Wakeboard Park

Deca Wakeboard Park is Davao’s newest attraction and water sport destination. Nestled in semi-rustic Tacunan, Mintal in the city of Davao – it makes for a perfect getaway for a chunky serving of action or just to chill out with a cold one in hand.
Sunsets at Deca Wakeboard Park are an attraction in itself. Having that last few rides in the late afternoon amidst the waning orange glow of the sun, sinking behind a dormant volcano is just priceless. It makes those last few rides more memorable.
Lifestyle riders and international trippers will find that Davao Deca Wakeboard Park is an ideal and convenient spot to spend their wakeboarding holidays. Davao City, after all, was voted as one of the most livable city in the world. A virtual melting pot for Filipinos and Expats From Deca Wakeboard Park – bars, malls and restaurants are just a few minutes’ ride away for some added “R and R”. Reasonable cable rates and food prices seal the deal when it comes to deciding as to which city to ride and spend your vacation in. The beaches are accessible, the mountains are nearby and most especially – it’s summer all year round!

Camp Sabros Zipline Outdoor Adventure

Camp Sabros Zipline Outdoor adventure parks started offering zipping. Located in the highlands of Sitio Barras, Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur, a part of the country’s highest peak – Mt. Apo, Camp Sabros boasts of zip line facilities with highest elevation and considered to have the second longest zip-line in the country. It is about 2 hours away from the City of Davao. We were advised to be at the Camp as early as 8 in the morning to see the captivating site of Mount Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines.
Camp Sabros is an adventure camp and a mountain resort. it is open daily, even during holidays. Ride operations start at 8:00 am till sundown.
Camp Sabros is located in Sitio Barras, Brgy. Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur. Travel time from Davao City takes around 2 – 3 Hours depending on the speed of your transportation and the condition of the road.

  • take the bus from the Ecoland Terminal in Davao City to go to Digos City Terminal.
  • From there take a tricycle ride to the “old Digos Terminal”
  • Then take the van to Camp Sabros

As soon as you reach the ‘Welcome to the Lion City of Digos’ sign [ with the statue of a lion], the road will split into two. Stay on the right road [ leading to Kidapawan] and watch out for the first road that turns to the right. You won’t miss it as there is a sign that says “This way to Kapatagan’. Take that road and go on [25 kilometers] until you reach the Sitio Barras check-point, go up to Camp Sabros.
Note: even if the road to the camp itself has been widened, we discourage non-4-wheel drive vehicles from going up to the camp as the weather up there is very erratic. If it rains too long or too hard, your wheels may get stuck on soft earth on your way down. you may park your vehicles at the parking area at the checkpoint.

Yellow Gate Adventure

Yellow Gate Adventure Resort also known as Santo Ñino of the Woods opened last May 2010. Currently the place offers a two way zip line; which was one of the most safest zip ride since it’s technical consultants were Eric Bontuyan and Bojun Bagayas; both known for their expertise concerning technical outdoor facilities. As as added factor of observing International Standards mostly of the equipments used were PETZL, a leading manufacturer of climbing and work-at-height equipment for mountaineering, climbing, caving and professional sector. The Zip line was 360 and 320 meters long and has a height of 100-150 meters. Unlike the Lake Sebu Zip Line, on which the rider was flying like superman, this ride tends to be different because we were hanged on the harness and which was way better for me because you could make a 360 view of the environment.
Just in-front and both sides of the rest house one can pitch a tent. Around the area was a kiosk, a fish pond, a children amenities like the seesaw and slide, a big rock on where you can post as having the clouds and mountains serve as your background. The place could not be reach anymore by Davao Lights, but that’s not a problem because the place has it’s own generator enough to supply the entire rest house and it’s main surroundings. Not only that, since the rest house was located on one of the coolest place in Davao City it has a fireplace which could be used during very cool and foggy climate. In addition to that, before the year ends either Davao Light or Cotabato electric company will supply the electricity in the area.
The rest house has four rooms on the 1st ground level and three rooms on the 2nd ground level. Both of which has a great landscape view of the lush forest. The rest house has also an attic which can accommodate as much as 30 participants [This was where we held our Basic Mountaineering Course.

Epol Mountain Resort in Marilog District is a 100 kilometers from Davao proper and will take you almost 3 and half hour to travel. Epol falls was known as Green Valley waterfalls before.
